Chaudière Falls

The Québec bridge: the world longest « cantilever » type bridge. Built in 1917 . Total length : 1 800 feet.

First train on the bridge : October 7, 1917.  First car : September 22, 1929.

 

The Québec bridge gold bolt

Somebody says that, while the bridge construction end, a gold bolt have been screwed somewhere in the structure. Ever since, many peoples had unsuccessfully looked for this gold bolt.

Was it removed ?   Was it really bolted in ?    is-it still there ?
